The fast ferries leave from Molo Beverello and take about 50 minutes, and the slow ferries take about 80 minutes and leave from nearby Porta di Massa.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ferries also run from the ports of Sorrento and Positano. One way tickets are available at affordable prices. If you\u2019re craving a workout, you can do it on foot. It\u2019s just under a kilometer, but it\u2019s all stairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you get up the hill, you\u2019ll be right near the main piazza of Capri, affectionately called la Piazzetta. <strong>Go past the tourist traps in the piazza to grab a coffee and pastry at the tiny Caff\u00e8 Manari <\/strong>(<em>Via Madonna Delle Grazie, 18<\/em>). Capri has some remarkable trails that will take you around the island or up the mountain Monte Solaro.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Via Pizzolungo is a must-do moderate level hike<\/strong> that takes between 2 and 3 hours:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>The path is paved, but there are stairs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Start the hike by following Via Matermania until you start seeing signs for the Natural Arch (Arco Naturale).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Faraglioni_Iconic_coastal_rock_formations\"><\/span>Faraglioni: Iconic coastal rock formations<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Capri is famous for <strong>two different rock formations\u2014a towering natural arch, and a group of massive rocks called the <em>faraglioni<\/em>. <\/strong>The first one you\u2019ll see on the hike is the Arco Naturale. It dates back to the paleolithic age when a grotto collapsed and left behind its rocky skeleton.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After spending some time there, head back up to the main path. The <strong>main path snakes around the island and gives you a bird\u2019s eye view of the gorgeous, sparkling water<\/strong>. It\u2019s hard to eat on a budget in Capri, but Salumeria Capri Verde (<em>Via Roma, 30<\/em>) has great big panini that you can customize and have made on the spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re looking for a sit down meal, head to Ristorante Panorama Capri. We don\u2019t recommend getting pizza in Capri because, well, you just can\u2019t beat<a href=\"https:\/\/www.takewalks.com\/blog\/best-pizza-in-naples-italy\"> the amazing pizza in Naples<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Best_pasta_dishes_on_Capri\"><\/span>Best pasta dishes on Capri<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Capri is known for fresh pasta dishes like:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Ravioli alla caprese<\/em><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Fresh ravioli stuffed with cheese in a flavorful tomato sauce.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fresh fish:<\/strong> Either grilled or cooked in a pan with tomatoes (called <em>all\u2019acqua pazza<\/em>).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ristorante Panorama Capri:<\/strong> Has a wonderfully romantic feel with a terrace overlooking the sea.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Alternatively, take the bus from Piazza Martiri d&#8217;Ungheria to Anacapri, about a 15 minute ride. If you\u2019re an expert hiker, there\u2019s a hiking trail that starts at Piazza Vittoria, but the majority of people opt for the chairlift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The chairlift is made up of <strong>single chairs that take you on<\/strong> <strong>a 13-minute ride up the mountain<\/strong>. It\u2019s an exciting ride. Make sure to check the opening hours on the website, because closing times vary by season.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Round trip or one-way tickets are available if you want to do the trail back down (which takes 45-60 minutes). You can either take the bus directly back to the port, or take it to the uphill town square and walk downhill to the port.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have time <strong>before your return ferry, grab a drink or snack from Cucurullo Aldo<\/strong> (<em>Via Cristoforo Colombo, 26<\/em>) and relax on the pebbly beach of Marina Grande.
