Q. What inspired you to become a tour guide? I love history and the way it explains the culture we have, foods we eat and rituals we still perform to this day. Being a guide is being the messenger of all this. It's welcoming our dear visitors and pointing them in the right direction.
Q. What do you love most about Lisbon? Lisbon shows its picturesque vibe in every corner, every square and staircase going up the hill. It is a cozy city where almost all the interesting parts are within a walkable distance from the center. And there's no end to viewpoints, family run pastry shops and restaurants to stop by and soak in.
Q. What's your favorite story to tell on tour? My favorite story is the revolution of 1974, putting an end to a very long dictatorship. I get to tell what my family endured in the countryside and how we celebrate the revolution nowadays with the red carnations.
Being a landscape architect made me travel from north to south in Portugal, being able to talk about any region, giving meaningful tips about places to visit.
I'm always in a good mood, always looking at the bright side of life, and can easily adjust to the situation and the group's needs.
I am a writer, so storytelling is my game. I'll always find some curious or funny thing to say or ask.
