This is a once in a lifetime tour. It’s expensive, but worth it.

Top 5 experience in a well traveled life. Having the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel to a group of 20 was extraordinary; we stayed for another hour, so we also saw what mere mortals see. My wife opened two doors and I opened the Sistine Chapel! If we go again, I’ll buy all 20 tickets for the two of us.

The Key Master tour was awesome. We were the very first people into the Vatican Museums. We followed the KeyMaster through the dark galleries, unlocking doors, opening windows and turning on lights. The quiet was such a peaceful break from the usual crowds of Rome. The reveal, as the lights came on was spectacular. Our guide was excellent. We got access to areas other members of the public cannot enter during regular hours. We has the Sistene Chapel to ourselves. Just beautiful. It was only as we left that we started to see other tours gathering outside.

This is an amazing tour, in the true sense of the word. The Vatican Museums are wonderful on their own, but being able to see them being opened up for the day, and even participating in it, is one of the most special experiences I've ever had in Rome. The whole thing was fantastic, from the guide to the Vatican staff, to the smooth procedure itself. I'd happily take this tour again and would recommend it to anyone.
