Excellent
Our guide, Julia, was delightful, fun and knowledgeable. She provided an experience that was not just about filling our stomachs, though everything was delicious, but also educated us about the historical significance of October 16, 1943 and the celebrations happening in the Jewish Ghetto that day along with the stories behind what we were seeing as we walked along. This was one of the best tours we did during our stay in Rome.

Manuela was our guide on this tour, and she was excellent. This was my favorite of the four food tours I did in Italy, including another in Rome, because she also covered a lot of history as we walked through the neighborhoods. I loved that we started in the Jewish quarter. And she is super personable and knew all the locals. The food choices were on point. My favorites were the suppli and baccala. Super yummy, salty Roman street food. But all of the choices were good. We got to visit a beer store and each choose a beer. Italy's craft beer scene has a long way to go, but as a beer lover, I really appreciated this addition to the tour. And of course, there is wine as well. If you can only do one food tour on your trip, this one gets my vote!
