Excellent
I wasn’t quite sure what I signed up for and the what I saw wasn’t what I expected, simply because I just blindly booked this tour based on a review from a friend, but the guide was great and I saw some really interesting artifacts and history of Rome I was unaware of. The guide was Francesca (I believe) and she had a great sense of humor. If you’re into morbid stuff, definitely do this your!

Excellent
Had such a great day! Our guide, Chiara, was phenomenal and so much fun! Very knowledgeable and passionate about the stops on the tour. The air conditioned bus with Fabrizio wasn’t a bad perk either! We had a great time.

Great
Our Guide was incredible. She was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The tour itself was good. The aqueducts were my favorite. The bone art was odd and felt rushed due to the number of people.

Excellent
Frederico was the most fantastic tour guide! The best! I can’t stress that enough! Very well informed and entertaining. The tour was interesting. The bine chapel both fascinating and very morbid. The catacombs interesting, and the end tomb entrance and church stunning. Would’ve liked more time in the church but tour is on a strict schedule. The aqueduct at the end was a real contrast and we thoroughly r joyed the day.

Guide did a great job. Delivered the subject matter very well. (Personally, if you're not catholic/Christian, and/or not interested in information about those religion's, this might not be the best tour for you. This is a criticism of the tour or my guide)

FAQs

Is this tour wheelchair accessible?
No. Unfortunately, due to site restrictions we cannot accommodate wheelchairs on this tour. If you use a wheelchair and book this tour by accident, we are happy to offer you credit for a future tour that is wheelchair accessible anywhere in the world, or a full refund.
Can I take pictures at the sites visited on the Crypts and Catacombs tour?
Taking pictures in the Capuchin Crypt is strictly prohibited because the monks do not want their dead being photographed. In the Catacombs, pictures are allowed but you are not allowed to shoot any frescoes with flash photography because of the effect that flash has on the paint.
I'm claustrophobic, will I be okay on this tour?
The Roman Catacombs are composed of narrow passagways that run deep underground. These can definitely cause problems for people who suffer from claustrophobia.
IMPORTANT: What should I wear?
The Capuchin Crypt is a holy place so attire must be appropriate for the visit. Both men and women are asked to wear clothing that covers at least the shoulders and knees. Walks cannot be held responsible for denied entry due to improper dress. It is sufficient to bring extra coverings with you and put them on before our entrance to the holy areas.
