Good
The prison portion of the tour was way too long. It was about an hour and a half and could have been done in a half an hour.

Excellent
Well-paced tour with a very knowledgeable guide. Dogues Palace secret tour was excellent, but be prepared for a lot of stairs. The art work is stunning. While not inexpensive the ability to skip the line here and at St. Mark's is invaluable. We took the 8:45am tour and the Square was empty, but by 11am when we took a quick break it was a zoo with an hours-long wait. BTW, if you want to see the view from the bell tower there is essentially no line after 4pm. Probably not necessary to purchase that in advance.

Excellent
Please don't pass this tour by. It is quality vs. the other tours by other service providers. We enjoyed Sarah, an exceptionally knowledgeable, personable and attentive guide. The hidden rooms and prison dungeons and torture rooms were well explained, and the main areas of the Doges Palace and Basilica were also detailed in her explanations. Her love of Venice is contagious. Mille Grazie!!

Excellent
This was an excellent tour. Our guide, Roberta, was very informative. It was very cool getting to see parts of the Doges Palace not open to the general public. The history of both the palace and the basilica was very interesting.

Great
We were not able to enter St Marks due to the holiday on 25 April. Tour representative said we should be receiving a partial refund.

Are the Doge's Palace Secret Itineraries Wheelchair accessible?
No, unfortunatley they are not. But tours to general-access areas are.
Does St. Mark's Basilica have a dress code?
Yes. Because it is a holy place, St. Mark's Basilica insists that both men and women wear clothing that covers their shoulders and knees. They can and will refuse entry to anyone who does not meet this standard and we can't do anything about it, so come prepared.

You can only take small bags into St. Mark's. Anything bigger than a purse - backpacks or luggage - is prohibited. There is no coat check either, so do not bring any large bags with you.
What can I bring with me on this tour?

Is there air conditioning?
There is no AC which means the narrow passages featured throughout can become quite hot over the course of the tour.
Does this tour run when it rains?
This tour runs rain or shine. However, occasionally St. Mark's Basilica and the Doge's Palace are closed to the public, without previous notice, due to high tides or particular festivities. In these cases we endeavor to contact customers as soon as possible to arrange a suitable alternative.
