This is a great tour to learn about Venice, its architecture, and to see all of the small canals, as well as the grand canal without the crowds. Our guide was a local who gave us lots of interesting information.

Guid very knowledgeable and organized!

What could be better than cruising the Venice canals in a wood-sided boat with an amazing tour guide and a driver that looks like the Italian Kenny Chesney? We savored every moment of this trip. One of my favorite parts was learning about how a certain man became rich and built his mansion house along the water to spite a man who though he could never become rich. Barbara was fantastic and even gave us a tip to visit a bookstore that is tucked in a corner that most tourists miss. We visited that bookstore that evening and loved it. This tour was one of our favorite highlights of our trip!

Great guide but I found that the boat ride should have been in two boats as it was a bit to jammed up to be comfortable and also take in the sights and pictures along the way. Tower climb was fantastic!

Mostly booked for the view of Venice from across the water, but didn’t end up being able to go as the place was closed. Informed last minute by guide. Alternate arrangements were nice, but would have likely cancelled given the option in advance.

Is the bell tower climb always included in the tour?
Very occasionally San Giorgio Maggiore closes access to its bell tower due to liturgical celebrations and they aren't in the habit of giving us much advanced notice. If this happens on the day of your visit we will stop off on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore to enjoy the view from the island but will not be able to climb the bell tower.
