Excellent
It's a different perspective to see Venice from the water and go down some of the back canals. I highly recommend the tour.

The tour started off as somewhat of a disappointment. We were informed by our guide that the city of Venice had closed down the bell tower on San Maggiore for maintenance. Seeing the view from the bell tower was one of the reasons we picked this tour, so we weren't very happy about this. Our tour guide, however, quickly turned lemons into lemonade. She was funny, interesting, incredibly knowledgeable, and very patient with our questions. We took a very thorough tour all around the outside of Venice proper, as well as multiple smaller channels and the Grand Canal itself. We capped the tour off with a spritz in the Dorsoduro district. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, with awesome photos and memories to cherish.

The tour was excellent and our guide engaging. Great experience for most. However, one guest was unable to be ooutside the enclosed boat cabin due to over crowding and it diminshed the experience for him considerably. The ccompany should be clear about this aspect, and not overbook the boat!

FAQs

Is this tour wheelchair accessible?
No. Unfortunately, due to site restrictions we cannot accommodate wheelchairs on this tour. If you use a wheelchair and book this tour by accident, we are happy to offer you credit for a future tour that is wheelchair accessible anywhere in the world, or a full refund.
What if the weather is bad (rain, snow, hail, etc.) on the day of my tour?
Our tours run rain or shine so please dress for the elements. We also ask you to please remember hats and sunscreen if you are taking this tour in the summer as it might be very hot.
How many passengers can fit on the boat?
The boat we use for our private tour has a maximum capacity of 9 people. If you want to take the tour but have more people in your party please call us or write to [email protected] Small Children 5 years of age and under do not count in the 9 person maximum.
Is the bell tower climb always included in the tour?
Very occasionally San Giorgio Maggiore closes access to its bell tower due to liturgical celebrations and they aren't in the habit of giving us much advanced notice. If this happens on the day of your visit we will stop off on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore to enjoy the view from the island but will not be able to climb the bell tower.
Can the boat accommodate wheelchair users?
No. Unfortunately, the boat is not equipped to safely service wheelchair users.
