PLESAE DO NOT PUBLISH - The reason I gave it a 5 is that we were not able to take the tour. We took the Walks tour in tour in Barcelona, which was great, but got sick the morning of the tour in Athens. I had sent a request to see if there was a possibility for a refund even thought we were past the deadline. I never heard back from anyone. No response, positive or negative. I thought there may be some consideration since we had just taken the other tour a week earlier. Any type of response would have been appreciated.

Highly recommend this company - have so far completed 3 tours in different countries and each have been a positive experience. The tour guides really know their subject matter - I’ve learnt new things from each tour and they try their best to make sure the areas and timings visited are as less crowded as possible.

Beware! Tour booked for 7:45 am , night before received email stating tour rescheduled to 11:45. Too late to make other arrangements. So up to the top of the acropolis at 2pm in 95 degree heat. It was delightful. Other member of tour group mentioned he had called to see why and was told that Citywalks couldn't get tickets for acropolis entry for earlier time as it was a busy time of year. Seems like if you're a tour company in athens, you might know this. Our guide, Marion, was very knowledgeable.

The ear pieces are horrible. I was so disappointed in how difficult it was to hear the tour guide and to keep the device on your ear. Ear plugs are needed. The tour was good though

Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. However, there was so much information it was monotonous. Spent most of our time standing listening while all the other groups passed us on the way to the top. No beating any crowds. We got so bored we left the group and toured the museum on our own. Felt like I was studying for an Undergrad Degree in Anthropology.

On the day of the tour, we waited for half an hour and... the guide never arrived. If it hadn't been for a guide from another company who, coincidentally, met us at the same place, we would have missed the tour. She called the operator and found out that the guide had a medical problem. OK, shit happens but no one went there to tell him! It was this other guide's decision that got us off the tour.
Look for another tour operator or visit the Acropolis on your own. I honestly think it's the best option. You don't need a guide. There are thousands of audio guides and you can do the tour at your own pace. The queues at the entrance (at least at 8 a.m.) are no problem, contrary to what the website said.
