Excellent
This was a great experience. Our guide was wonderful. We loved the monastery and the winery. We sent Cava home and brought olive oil, cheese and honey home from the monastery. I wish we could have seen the Black Madona but that was not included.

From the moment we arrived Feliciano helped our group to create a small community for the days adventure. He shared history and knowledge of Monserrat and the beautiful Joan Segura Pujedas winery and vineyard .it was a beautiful way to enjoy an area and the history, scenery and culture outside Barcelona!

Magdalena was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, keeping us amused with questions about things we had learned. Ramon drove very well and safely, and avoided congested areas to get us back to the ship with plenty of time. At the Cava winery, Martin was enthusiastic and friendly, and had a great way of showing and telling us how Cava is made. The scenery at Montserrat was spectacular, the trip ran to time, and the luxury mini-coach was spotlessly clean. I definitely recommend Spain Day Tours and this itinerary.

Is there are dress code for the Basilica of Montserrat?
Yes. In the Cathedral of Montserrat, both men and women are asked to wear clothing that covers at least the shoulders and knees.
Is this day trip wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately, the vehicles we use on these tours do not accomodate wheelchairs. If you would like a day trip from Barcelona and have a mobility impairment, please contact our customer service department ([email protected]) and we will be happy to organize a private experience for you.
How should I dress for this day trip?
Montserrat sits at a higher elevation than much of Catalonia so tends to be a few degrees cooler than the other places you visit on this trip. Please bring an extra layer to ensure your comfort when we are on the mountain.
