Sylvie certainly introduced me to delicious, authentic and ethically-produced delectables of Bordeaux, all the while telling me about local history, places of interest and local colloquialisms and pieces of information, interesting and amusing - e.g. do not call pain au chocolat by its usual name in this region, but always chocolatine! Time passed very quickly, the walk was leisurely, as was enjoyment of the foods and wines - and I’d certainly recommend this tour to anyone considering it. N.B. I didn’t eat before or after going, and was glad to simply enjoy the food offered on the tour.

We had an amazing time waking the old town of Bordeaux and eating the best of locally owned businesses . We felt like we had a true authentic experience … rather than a ‘touristy’ experience .

Sylvia is an excellent tour guide. We had a great experience of learning local history and tasting local food. It was great to do this early in our time in Bordeaux, as we went back for second and third visit to some of our favorites from the tour. Many different taste and experiences. Both delicious and fun.

Very lucky to have Sylvie who was a delightful guide. Knowledgeable, patient, funny and interesting. Only 2 guests so we had a lot of information and all her attention. The route was great, and importantly the type of food and amount of it was perfect. Interesting things and time to enjoy.
