We took the Churchill tour. The guide didnt actually go into the war room with us, but he “previewed” our walk trough by telling us Churchill stories …I expected something different but I didn’t enjoy hearing all the stories because it got us very interested and set the stage for what we were about to see. Once we were inside I can see what the guide doesn’t accompany you- it is a very very small, narrow space with a lot of people. It would have been disruptive. The venue provides an audio guide but the stories before were great.

This was an excellent tour. The meeting place was easy to find and Charlotte was a knowledgeable and excellent guide. We got to see many places we would not have tried in one day ourselves because of her excellent scheduling of getting there. Highly recommend

Is the Guard Change ceremony happening the day of my tour?

Please note there is no Changing of the Guard ceremony on Tuesdays. It may also be subject to cancellation at any time it's scheduled to happen during the week. In this event, you will get to see the Horse Guards Parade (an arguably more impressive ceremony!) and the Ceremony of the Word at the Tower of London.

Can I take pictures in Westminster Abbey?

No. You are not allowed to take any photos while inside the Abbey. If you want a picture of the interior, you have to buy a postcard in the gift shop.

Can I take a bag into Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge, and the Tower of London?

Yes, but only small bags. Please note that for security reasons your bags will also be checked before you enter. Here is a list of prohibited items: Sharp items e.g. knives (including Swiss army knives) scissors, cutlery and screwdrivers Paint spray Padlocks, chains and climbing gear Items that make a noise (e.g. whistles) Banners, placards and flags Liquids that are not in sealable containers
