Excellent tour of Pompeii, I thought I would need a second day on my own to see everything satisfactorily but I found with a little wonder around the site after the tour that I felt I had seen almost everything that I needed during the tour. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly and had actually studied and participated in archaeology, I hope he gets back to that career, but was happy he was available for our group. The tour is three hours so I cannot stress enough wear comfortable footwear that is sturdy over uneven ground.

Our tour guide Sonia was excellent, engaging and very knowledgeable. Our group was not too large (15 people). The tour was a full 3 hours with no time lost for queuing or breaks so we managed to cover a large part of the site.

Our tour was led by Enzo (who makes the best bread). He was very engaging and provided a lot of information about Pompeii and ancient trivia in general. Very knowledgeable and you could tell he was passionate about the topic and not just doing this as a job. My partner had visited Pompeii a few times already always just doing the audio tour and said he got a lot more out of this trip because of Enzo. 10/10, would recommend!

FAQs

What if the weather is bad (rain, snow, hail, etc.) on the day of my tour?

Our tours run rain or shine so please dress for the elements. We also ask you to please remember hats and sunscreen if you are taking this tour in the summer as it might be very hot.

Is Pompeii accessible to people in wheelchairs?

The streets of Pompeii have never been repaved or smoothed over so much of the city is nearly impossible to navigate for those with mobility impairments. If you use a wheelchair there is a special route for you, so please contact our customer service department for details.

Can I bring a bag into Pompeii with me?

Only small bags are allowed into Pompeii. Larger bags or backpacks will have to be left in the luggage lockers in the train station. Tripods are also not allowed.
