Excellent one day tour with Cosimo. Had a great day led by the tour guide for day,Cosimo. This guide is also a history teacher and grad of oldest university in Italy. He shares so much information about the places visited on the tour and about Italy in general as well as Italian culture, you will be amazed. The day is long because its a long way there and back, but well worth it. There are time limits at each location because its a one day tour but its adequate to give you a good flavor of each. Katerina was the guide at Pompeii and she was very good too! This was our fourth or fifth tour through this company and all have been good.

Amazing trip from Rome to Pompei and Positano! Love the views! Cosimo answered every question we asked him! Catherine at Pompeii was very professional and knowledgeable. We enjoyed every place she pointed and explained about plus everything else.

It was a comfortable trip. From Rome, I thought I would give up going to Pompeii because of the poor location, but I was able to do it because I was given a car tour. The guide was in English but he spoke slowly so it was easy to understand.

FAQs

Which towns on the Amalfi Coast will I visit?
In the low season (November through late March), most of the businesses in Positano town close, making the town rather uneventful to visit. During this time, we will visit the town of Amalfi or Sorrento instead, where you'll have plenty of options for lunch and shopping. During the weekends in the high season (May-September) we will also visit beautiful Sorrento instead of Positano.
Is this tour wheelchair accessible?
No. Unfortunately, due to site restrictions we cannot accommodate wheelchairs on this tour. Guests should be prepared for a moderate level of physical activity, including standing for extended periods and climbing stairs, which may not be suitable for travelers with certain health conditions or mobility limitations.
What if the weather is bad (rain, snow, hail, etc.) on the day of my tour?
Our tours run rain or shine so please dress for the elements. We also ask you to please remember hats and sunscreen if you are taking this tour in the summer as it might be very hot.
If I bring a swimming suit can I go for a dip in the sea?
Yes! Although be aware that there is not always a lifeguard on duty in the areas you might want to swim so you will be getting in the water at your own risk.
Can I use this tour as a transfer to Positano?
Unfortunately our transport vans do not have enough space to accommodate luggage so it's not possible to use this tour as a transfer to Positano from Rome. Moreover, on some occasions the tour stops in Positano before Pompeii and does not return to the town afterwards.
Is lunch included?
No. Your guide will give you a few great recommendations for lunch spots and give you plenty of time, but where and what you eat is up to you.
Is Pompeii accessible to people in wheelchairs?
The streets of Pompeii have never been repaved or smoothed over so much of the city is nearly impossible to navigate for those with mobility impairments. If you use a wheelchair there is a special route for you, so please contact our customer service department for details.
Can I bring a bag with me into Pompeii?
Small bags and purses are allowed inside Pompeii.
