Pompeii is fascinating and the ride from Pompeii to Positano was beautiful. “Nina” was a very kind and informative tour guide for the trip, and she had great recommendations for places to eat in Positano. In addition we had a wonderful tour guide with an archaeological background to guide us through Pompeii. My only warning is there is a lot of time on the mini bus to Pompeii then on to Positano and then finally back to Rome. Although it was an exhausting day in my opinion it was well well worth the visit. We were so glad we took this trip.

Excellent tour Cosimo out tour guide was lovely very knowledgable and helpful we had a great guide in Pompeii who showed and explained the highlights. Only issues were that it was frustrating when other guests were not ready to leave on time and I did not like the motorway stops I feel we wasted time there and would have preferred more time in Positano -there was not enough time to both have lunch and do some exploring you could only doo e or the other.
We also had fantastic tours of The Vatican, colosseum and the excavated ruins under the Trevi fountain area all booked with Devour. All our guides were very knowledgable and helpful

First of all the tour in Pompeii was amazing. Our guide was so knowledgeable and gave very interesting and detailed information. I enjoyed it very much. Also the tour was arranged well to allow for pit stops along the way and the extended stop in Positano gave us a taste of the Amalfi Coast.
I would highly recommend to anyone interested in the discovery of the hidden treasure that is Pompeii.

Great guide - knowledgeable, personable, and fun. Incredibly skilled bus driver safely navigated extremely narrow and crowded Amalfi Coast roads. My only negative is that the separate Pompeii guide that met the tour group, although informative and professional, did not include some of the more interesting sites noted on the tour itinerary. It seemed rushed.

Is Pompeii accessible to people in wheelchairs?
The streets of Pompeii have never been repaved or smoothed over so much of the city is nearly impossible to navigate for those with mobility impairments. If you use a wheelchair there is a special route for you, so please contact our customer service department for details.
Is this tour wheelchair accessible?
No. Unfortunately, due to site restrictions we cannot accommodate wheelchairs on this tour. Guests should be prepared for a moderate level of physical activity, including standing for extended periods and climbing stairs, which may not be suitable for travelers with certain health conditions or mobility limitations.
Can I bring a bag with me into Pompeii?
Small bags and purses are allowed inside Pompeii.
Is lunch included?
No. Your guide will give you a few great recommendations for lunch spots and give you plenty of time, but where and what you eat is up to you.
Can I use this tour as a transfer to the Amalfi Coast?
Unfortunately our transport vans do not have enough space to accommodate luggage so it's not possible to use this tour as a transfer to towns on the Amalfi Coast from Rome.
Which town on the Amalfi Coast will I visit?
Most of the year, you'll visit Positano. In the low season (November through late March), most of the businesses in Positano town close, making the town rather uneventful to visit. During this time, we will visit Sorrento instead, where you'll have plenty of options for lunch and shopping.
Is there free time in Positano or Sorrento?
Absolutely. You’ll enjoy up to two hours to wander, eat, shop, or simply soak in the scenery.
Do I need to bring my ID for my Pompeii tour?
Yes! The full names of all participants must be provided at the time of booking and match the names on their ID/passport. Name changes are not permitted. All guests (including children) must bring a government-issued ID/passport on the day of their tour. Failure to bring an ID may result in security staff denying entrance to the monument.
How long is the tour?
Roughly 13 hours, with an early morning departure from Rome and a return in time for dinner.
What if the weather is bad (rain, snow, hail, etc.) on the day of my tour?
Our tours run rain or shine so please dress for the elements. We also ask you to please remember hats and sunscreen if you are taking this tour in the summer as it might be very hot.
