Rome Underground: Catacombs at Closing Time, Appian Way & Aqueducts Tour

Aurelio was awesome even when the catacombs delayed us 30mins - I would be stressed but he kept calm. Spoke excellent English and was helping out other people that weren't even in a walking group. And he offered to take your picture at each spot. And knowledgeable, appreciate the pictures as it is hard to imagine how things used to look before the Roman Empire fell.<br />The catacombs was unique - I'm a bit claustrophobic so that made it hard but very interesting.<br />Thank you.

Wonderful visit to historically significant sites. Comfortable coach to drive to each of the site visits and a knowledgeable and friendly guide Aurelio, who spoke perfect English. It was easy to get to the Piramide station so no troubles finding the pick up point.

This was a fun tour. Our guide Frede was passionate about sharing information with us about and was very personable. I loved that he brought visuals for us to help imagine Ancient Rome while we went around. <br /><br />I’d recommend this.<br /><br />We were a little nervous about not meeting in the right place but we were and they found us and we found them easy. <br /><br />No photos allowed in catacombs.

Wide ranging tour with a local guide. We covered history ranging from the republican period through to the christian and PayPal states period. Transport via private shuttle was nice after the heat.

Awesome explanations and context

Sylvia was amazing! She shared a ton about the Appian Way, aqueducts and Andrea gave us a fabulous tour of the catacombs of Flavia Domitilla. There is a lot more to this tour than you expect. This was one of the experiences we will take away with us…and we will return and probably do this again. Sylvia was also generous with suggestions for dinner and gelato in Testaccio!

This trip is well worth going. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and really looked after us. Our driver would drop us off and meet us at a convenient thoughtful spot afterwards at the end of our little walk on the Via Appian. At the Catacomb we had a specialist Vatican guide. The aqueduct park was both beautiful and interesting. We are so glad we did this tour
