We took the Crypts, Bones, and Catacombs yesterday with our guide, Federico. The tour was excellent, especially Federico's passionate and knowledgeable commentary. There were individual audio receivers which meant you could hear the guide no matter where you were situated in the group - a definite bonus! Highly recommended.

An Unforgettable Journey into Rome's Hidden Depths !
We had the pleasure to be guided through the crypt and to the San Sebastián catacombs by Flavia. Our tour leader, was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the city. You could sense that she has a special interest for Rome history, her passion for the subject was contagious, and she took the time to answer all our questions thoroughly, ensuring everyone in the group was engaged and informed. From start to finish, the tour was impeccably organized, deeply informative, and hauntingly beautiful.
What I appreciated most was the small group size, which allowed for a more intimate and personalized experience. The tour was well-paced, giving us ample time to explore, reflect, and take photos without feeling rushed. Safety measures were also diligently observed, which made the experience comfortable and stress-free.

Is this tour wheelchair accessible?
No. Unfortunately, due to site restrictions we cannot accommodate wheelchairs on this tour. If you use a wheelchair and book this tour by accident, we are happy to offer you credit for a future tour that is wheelchair accessible anywhere in the world, or a full refund.
IMPORTANT: What should I wear?
The bone crypts beneath churches are holy places so attire must be appropriate for the visit. Both men and women are asked to wear clothing that covers at least the shoulders and knees. Walks cannot be held responsible for denied entry due to improper dress. It is sufficient to bring extra coverings with you and put them on before our entrance to the holy areas.
Can I take pictures at the sites visited on the Crypts and Catacombs tour?
Taking pictures in the bone crypts is strictly prohibited. In the Catacombs, pictures are allowed but you are not allowed to shoot any frescoes with flash photography because of the effect that flash has on the paint.
I'm claustrophobic, will I be okay on this tour?
The Roman Catacombs are composed of narrow passagways that run deep underground. These can definitely cause problems for people who suffer from claustrophobia.
