I think it is important to make sure that people purchasing this tour understand they will not be taken back to the place where the tour began & they will need to either take the Metro or a cab because the distance is a long distance from the beginning place of the tour. The sites on the tour were very interesting and the guide was great but failed to appreciate the disappointment in where the tour left us.

Probably a good tour but we bailed halfway through. While the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable his presentation was all over the place. Some of his comments could be funny to some but offensive to others. Believe tour could be good with the right guide. Disappointed and out the money. Not even close to the Excellent tour we had at the Vatican.

Amazing stops at the crypts, catacombs, and aqueducts! Definitely something different from the typical tours and very well organized. I would highly recommend overall. The only disappointment was our American tour guide who focused the tour too strongly on American culture and made very some inappropriate remarks about Roma people.

We took the Vatican museum/St. Paul’s dome climb tour. It was a very strenuous climb on a hot day but the views from the top are amazing. I was a little curious why our guide did not come up with us as I saw other guides that were up at the top. It would have been nice to have some explanation of sights once we were up there. Everything was very crowded. I wasn’t expecting the packed rooms in the Vatican museum and Sistine chapel. They don’t seem to be limiting ticket sales at all. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and kind. Just remember the tour guides have to stick to a schedule so there is no time to stop in gift shops until the end! Overall it was a quality tour.

Our tour guide Ally (if I’m remembering correctly) was so kind and funny. She took her time and explained everything to us during our tour well. From starting in the square all the way til saying goodbye at the end. I mention the goodbye because she spoke to each gust individually and made sure everyone knew their next destination and how to get there. I thought that was extremely thoughtful and personable

Can I take pictures at the sites visited on the Crypts and Catacombs tour?
Taking pictures in the Cappuchin Crypt is strictly prohibited because the monks do not want their dead being photographed. In the Catacombs, pictures are allowed but you are not allowed to shoot any frescoes with flash photography because of the effect that flash has on the paint. Finally, it's totally fine to take photos in San Nicola in Carcere.
I'm claustrophobic, will I be okay on this tour?
The Roman Catacombs are composed of narrow passagways that run deep underground. These can definitely cause problems for people who suffer from claustrophobia.
IMPORTANT: What should I wear?
The Capuchin Crypt is a holy place so attire must be appropriate for the visit. Both men and women are asked to wear clothing that covers at least the shoulders and knees. Walks cannot be held responsible for denied entry due to improper dress. It is sufficient to bring extra coverings with you and put them on before our entrance to the holy areas.
Am I guaranteed to visit all three sites on this tour?
Although it is very rare, we advise our clients that San Nicola, which is the last site we visit, is subject to closure during special celebrations/festivities, including the Easter ceremonies. If this occurs during your visit, we will run an alternative itinerary including other sites of equal value. End point in this case may vary, however it will always be centrally located. We are unable to provide refunds or discounts for this particular substitution.
Is this tour wheelchair accessible?
No. Unfortunately, due to site restrictions we cannot accommodate wheelchairs on this tour. If you use a wheelchair and book this tour by accident, we are happy to offer you credit for a future tour that is wheelchair accessible anywhere in the world, or a full refund.
