Ultimate Old San Juan Food Tour

Narai was an incredible tour guide. So knowledgeable and explained so much history as we walked through San Juan. The food was SO much, make sure to come hungry! We had hot chocolate and a sweet bread pastry (because none of us drink coffee), then a pina colada from the original place it was created, then another pina colada, beef empanadas and mofongo with chicken. After walking a little more, we had a popsicle and then a gourmet chocolate bon bon and more hot chocolate. We couldn’t possibly eat all the food at every stop but definitely worth tasting it all. Overall an amazing experience and would highly recommend.

This was a great tour. Lizbel was very knowledgeable and passionate about her home and kept our attention while showing the history of PR as we ate great food.

Be on time! Very hard to park if cruise ships are in port! Lots of traffic in San Juan! Lots of people walking about!

What a great way to start our trip in San Juan! Melinda was a wonderful tour guide and made sure that we not only got to experience small business food but also got to see pretty parts of San Juan! Would highly recommend!

Narai was a fantastic guide, weaving food and San Juan’s history together during our time together. She was very energetic , accommodating, approachable and knowledgeable . The day started at the Don Ruiz coffee shop where we had Mallorca break, buttered and dusted with power sugar. We then stopped at Barrrachina for their famous pina colada! We then stopped at Juanes for the competitors pina colada, empanadas (phenomenal), and chicken mofongo. Senor Paleta’s did not disappoint with the popsicles which were smooth in texture and quite delicious. The Nutella gelato was fantastic. The tour culminated with a visit at Cortes Chocobar where we have delicious bon bons and hot chocolate. This was one of our favorite tours in the week we spent at San Juan and wish we had done it sooner so we would have time to revisit all the wonderful places Narai introduced to us. Highly recommended!
