The guide, Mosè, was amazing! His knowledge of the history of Venice, the Doges palace and St Mark’s basilica was astounding. I especially appreciated his philosophical insights of an era of human history that has passed and how he compared it to current history and human thought. I did not expect a philosophical perspective on this tour but it wrapped it all up beautifully. He was great! I highly recommend Walks, you won’t be disappointed.

It was such a treat to taste and learn the history behind the food and places we visited on the tour. Elisa took good care of our group and offered recommendations for other restaurants in the area.

Seeing the Doge’s palace before it opened was fantastic! Elena was an amazing guide who combined information with humor. I would highly recommend!

I loved this tour! I learned so much about the Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s Basilica. The tour was well organized and our tour guide knew so much! It was a great experience!!!

Good last minute option to see the basilica if you have not planned ahead.

Our tour guide Mose was amazing—the best guide I’ve had on any tour. And that’s saying something, because I booked all of our tours with Walks and all the guides are always remarkable! Don’t miss an opportunity to learn about Venetian history from Mose!

Our tour guide Mose was the best guide I’ve ever had. He made the tour magical. Don’t pass up an opportunity to learn about Venetian history from Mose!

The guide Francisco was very knowledgeable and personable. He was excellent. We were disappointed that the “ Florence in a day” tour did not go into the Cathedral, Baptistry or Museum but included only a talk outside the Cathedral and Baptistry.

Booked the early morning (8am) tour and it was absolutely amazing. Very well organised, excellent and knowledgeable guide just an overall fabulous experience.

Great tour! I specifically picked this one because it included all three things we wanted to see, the Basilica, the Doge's Palace, and the prison and walk across the Bridge of Sighs. Many tours only do two out of the three, so I loved that we got to do all three in this one. Our tour guide, Elena, was amazing. So knowledgeable and friendly. We had these little headsets where we could hear her talking, so even if she walked ahead and was talking quietly in the Basilica, we could still hear her perfectly. I would note that if you aren't super mobile, to just keep note that you do walk up stairs in this tour. The stairs are steep and there are handrails, but the steps themselves are tall so if you're short like me, you're really stepping up! I would also note that when you get to the meeting place before the tour begins, the check-in person is checking people in for multiple tours at a time. So where you see a large crowd standing around, that's likely them! We weren't sure at first because we knew our tour was only around twenty people, and saw a crowd of around fifty to seventy. But that was because multiple tours all check in with the same person, and then they split you up into groups according to the tour you signed up for.
