We spent a magnificent day in Murano and Burano! Our tour guide, Alessia S, was extremely knowledgeable and a real joy to be around. As we boated from Venice to Murano and Burano Islands, Alessia S took her time to explain our surroundings and answer any questions..
Murano was captivating as we watched and learned the different glass blowing methods. The glass products were luxurious and we couldn’t leave without shipping some home.
Burano was charming and inviting. The colorful houses brought so much magnetism and life to the island. The island shops offered a great variety….something for everyone. We enjoyed the fresh baked goods.
Both islands were very clean and they had quality products in the shops.
The total tour is about 5 hours, which includes boating, demonstrations and time on your own. It’s a great tour. We only wished it was about 2.5 hours longer in order to spend more time on each island.
It is evident, that our tour guide, Alessia S, takes pleasure in what she does and enjoys sharing her historic insight with others in the most charming and engaging way.

Me and 2 of my sisters went on the premium lagoon excursion tour and we had a fantastic time. Alessia was our tour guide, and she did an excellent job explaining everything there is to know about Venice and the islands, while also looking after everyone and making the tour feel very personable. She made Venice special to us, and we are very grateful to her for that for that. When we return to Venice, we will definitely be scheduling tours with Alessia

Murano and burano. Very interesting demonstration of glassblowing on murano. I would have liked to have asked questions of the master glassblower or his workers. Impossible to imagine working there during the summer. Murano glass very expensive.
Burano had wonderful shoos for buying glass as well as lace and fabrics. Lots of places to grab a quick dinner.
Our guide Orsola was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information on way to islands

This was a GREAT tour - we had a private boat to take us first to Vanessa winery on Burano and then explored Burano. Manuela brought us to see a lace demonstration as well. We then got back on the boat and went to Murano to see a glass blowing demonstration. Manuela was so friendly and knowledgeable. The group size was also perfect. Can't wait to book another tour with these companies!

Great half day excursion! We got to both Burano .. saw the classic colored houses and visited a lace establishment. We had an absolutely lovely wine tasting there as well! Next stop a quick visit to Murano and saw glass blowing which was amazing! We met at 8:30am and were back to Saint Marks Square just after 2pm. Guides were great!

Loved this tour! Our guide was knowledgeable and easy to understand. We had a small group and enjoyed our boat tour to Burano and Murano. We really enjoyed the behind the scene tour on the streets of Burano and the beautiful little colorful homes and village. Murano glass making demonstration was fantastic and we loved getting a little time after to grab some trinkets to take home. The wine tasting at the old monastery was interesting, delicious and a very beautiful spot! We were so very glad we took this tour! Definitely a highlight of Venice!

We booked this tour through the JW Marriott Venice. Everything was great until it got to the useless 45 minutes talk during the so called wine tasting. The wine was salty and pretty bad and the wine guy spoke for an excruciating 45 minutes while the tour guide was MIA (nowhere to be found).
However, the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. The visit to Murano was extremely short and when I provided feedback to her that 45 minutes for the wine tasting was a waste of time and that time instead should be allotted for Murano, her reply was that was the way the itinerary was.
I would highly recommend a visit to both islands but SKIP the wine piece.
