Had a wonderful day visiting a parmesan producer and then to a Moderna balsamic producer. At the balsamic producer we made tortellini and tagletelli pasta from scratch then sat down to eat the fruits of our labour. Fantastic car to drive us, fantastic day.

Fantastic tour! Our guide Darren was awesome and each of the stops provided so much learning! The pasta at Agriturismo C’a Lunati was fantastic! The owner, Margarita, was so personable and we loved getting to know her! Highly recommend!!

This was a fantastic tour! Our guide and driver were fantastic. We learned a lot about the process of making cheese, balsamic vinegar, and pasta! It's hard to say which was our favorite. We highly recommend this tour to get a taste, literally, of the history and culture of food in the region.

We had the best time on this tour!! Loved our guide Ela D, she was fun and so nice and was happy to share all kinds of information about Italy and Bologna. The cheese factory was really cool to see, the balsamic vinegar was really interesting to learn about at Boni and delicious to try, and the pasta-making and lunch was amazing and so so fun!! Patrizia was a fabulous hostess at Boni, loved getting to meet her. We all felt like family by the end of the day. It was a quick and fun-filled seven hours, and would do it again in a heartbeat! 10/10 recommend.

Our family had a wonderful day. Our guide Darren was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and good fun. We enjoyed visiting the dairy and observing cheese making and tasting. The balsamic vinegar tasting was great and meeting the fourth generation producer was a treat. We all enjoyed pasta making class, especially our son. Highly recommend spending a day on this tour and with Darren. 10 out of 10!

What an unexpected incredible day we just had on this tour. We have done 6 other tours with this company throughout Italy and this was by fare our favorite. You are immersed in the Bologna culture and welcomed by the vendors as one of their own! I left with a much greater appreciation for the quality of the products we saw, the hands on pasta making makes it interactive and fun! Our tour guide Darren was the best! He is warm, social, knowledgeable and made the experience just that much more! Trust me this tour is the best! My husband was hesitant because we can “make pasta at home” and teenager was “OMG, it’s 7 hours” but we all had the best time and teenager even smiled!

Fantastic tour of Bologna countryside. Visited Parmesan Emilia romana factory and learned how it was made. We also visited how balsamic vinegar was made and got to taste various ages. Finally we learned how to make our own pasta and had a delicious lunch. We enjoyed every minute! Grazie mille!

A fantastic way to spend a morning, you get to see some of the countryside surrounding Bologna, see Parmesan being made before tasting it at the factory- meet a family of 4 generations of balsamic vinegar makers and finish off by making and eating you own pasta in a beautiful countryside setting!! Our guide Ella was absolutely phenomenal, so friendly and knowledgeable!!

Fantastic culinary experience for solo traveler. A 7-hour tour that flew.
Visit to the dairy with explanation and tastings of Parmesan cheese, really interesting and engaging. We then moved to a vinegar factory, where they gave us a guided tour and various tastings of these precious balsamic vinegars. Finally we went to the hills between Bologna and Modena where together with the sphoglines we learned to make tagliatelle and tortellini. Excellent aperitif and lunch. The guide Ela was very good and very prepared.
Experience that I recommend to anyone who has the opportunity to pass by Bologna.

For those visiting the area, I really recommend taking a tour like this. You get to learn about products like Parmigiano Reggiano and traditional balsamic vinegar that you’ve heard of your whole life but don’t really know what goes into producing them.
I particularly loved the balsamic vinegar part of the tour. The acetaio is stunning and our host was bubbly, knowledgeable, and explained the entire process clearly while holding everyone’s attention. Also, when you buy traditional balsamic vinegar on site, it’s a heck of a lot cheaper than it is online or at a store.
The last part of the tour in the agriturismo was wonderful too. The setting is gorgeous and it was fantastic to make pasta then eat the fruits of our labor.
