Ultimate Chicago Food Tour: West Loop Neighborhood

We met Erica, our guide, and learned that we happened to be the only guests on that afternoon tour. Erica was great as a guide, friendly, knowledgeable, and talkative. Five food stops, on our particular tour it was pizza, tacos, meat all sub, donuts, and cupcakes. Pizza stop was probably our favorite. Erica gave us a number of recommendations for places in the city for hot dogs, cocktails, markets, etc. If we could have changed anything, we prob would have preferred just one sweet stop instead of two.

Excellent food. Erica our guide was great. She told us interesting stories about the food establishments we visited and some historical facts. I really enjoyed myself.

Erica, the tour guide, was absolutely fabulous: she has an immediately engaging personality and it was a genuine pleasure to hang out with her...In terms of the "history" aspects of the tour I would select a more significant neighborhood in Chicagoland. As for the food?: is there such a thing as too much food? LOL! Instead of full portions (e.g. a whole slice of deep dish pizza, a full taco, a half-sandwich...) at 5 places, I would rather have gone to a couple more locations and have had small bites. And for any places beverages are a significant part of the menu (e.g. a brewery) a sample would be nice.
