Pros:
- the market and location for the class was excellent. Loved that we had a mini lesson in vermú and all kinds of explanations in each traditional stall we stopped at the market. Explanations of current in season fruits and how to cook a “blood loaf” were discussed.
The cooking lesson was done in a formal area above Ferretería restaurant- in a beautiful space. The staff, a young woman, was also very professional and kind.
- both Chefs Arantxa’s and Francis were wonderful as tour guide and teachers of all things Spanish - customer service and personality were terrific!
The recipe choices were great: classic Spanish cuisine - but not too difficult for the home cook to replicate at home.
I had a food intolerance which needed not to accommodate me, but when I arrived- they had - and it was a welcomed surprise. So thank you for that.
Cons: the air conditioning was not on before our arrival- for Europeans this would not be unusual, however for any North American visitors this may tarnish their experience, as temps were quite high near the cooking area.
For future promotional listing, make sure to note that this is NOT a hands on cooking course, it is a cooking demonstration class.
