Our tour guide, Angelo, was outstanding. Very engaging, informative and threw him some excellent humor to lighten things up. I will highly recommend this specific tour as with Angelo’s negotiation skills we were allowed into the Duomo before any other tour group so had the whole place to ourselves. Really enjoyed the experience and aligned very well to the top experiences we had with Walking tours in Rome as well. Grazie!

Our tour through the Duomo & David was an amazing experience. Our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable & fun. Our group was 8 ppl total. We started off visiting David & then walked a short distance to the Duomo. We skipped all the lines. Quick, easy access into all the sites. We walked the whole way up to the top of the dome which was amazing. Excellent views. Our tickets also included the baptistry and bell tower unguided when the tour concluded. My husband and I did both. Overall great experience. This was our 4th Walks tour. I highly recommend them.

Thorough tour. Guide was very knowledgeable, informative, understanding and meticulous. When time permitted, guide would take group to see additional museum items. Entry to, and through, attractions is well coordinated, saves time and bypasses larger lines. You really are given priority and have exclusive accesses. Adequate time is permitted to explore a little on own, and for restroom breaks.

We decided to splurge on this tour, and I’m glad we did. It was worth every penny in every way. Chris is an exceptional tour guide. He is a storyteller who breathes life into the past, animates the inanimate, and awakens the imagination. Thank you, Chris!

Yes! This is especially important if you have purchased a student ticket because the museums will check when we arrive.
What if the weather is bad (rain, snow, hail, etc.) on the day of my tour?
Our tours run rain or shine so please dress for the elements. We also ask you to please remember hats and sunscreen if you are taking this tour in the summer as it might be very hot.
Does the Florence Duomo ever close unexpectedly?
The Cathedral of Florence occasionally closes for special celebrations/festivities, including Easter ceremonies. If this occurs during your visit, we will run an alternative itinerary that includes an explanation of the Cathedral from the outside and extra highlights of the city center. We are unable to provide refunds or discounts if the Cathedral closes unexpectedly.
Does the Florence Duomo have a dress code?
Yes. The Florence Duomo is a holy place and as such, you are expected to wear clothing that covers your shoulders and knees when you enter.
Can I bring my bag into Florence Duomo?
Larger backpacks are not allowed inside Florence Duomo. Please make sure to only bring small handbags on this tour.
Is this tour wheelchair accessible?
No. Unfortunately, due to site restrictions we cannot accommodate wheelchairs on this tour. If you use a wheelchair and book this tour by accident, we are happy to offer you credit for a future tour that is wheelchair accessible anywhere in the world, or a full refund.
Is this tour suitable for children?
Due to security reasons, children under 7 years of age aren't allowed to climb to the Terraces and minors under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Is the Dome Climb accessible to people with limited mobility?
There are 463 steps to the top of the Florence Duomo and no elevator. Also, the staircase and is narrow and, in the summer, pretty hot. We don't recommend it for the elderly, people with limitations on their mobility, or anyone with claustrophobia.
Our original Florence tour covers all the highlights with See the can't-miss highlights of the Tuscan capital, complete with skip-the-line access to both the Duomo and the Accademia Gallery.-the-line access.
Skip long lines to see David at the Accademia, marvel at the finest Renaissance pieces in the Uffizi, then take to the streets to explore the best of Florence with a local!
