Ernesto was a friendly and insightful guide to the museum’s paintings and their (art) history. It is indisputably expensive to join this particular tour, but it’s a privilege to be able to experience the great works of the Prado before the museum opens. It’s the first time I’ve have this kind of early access and I would do it again at other big art galleries. If you can afford, it’s worth it.

This is probably my 4th or 5th tour of the Prado and the 3rd time taking this same tour. Alfonso is by far the best guide in every possible way. The early access is beyond fantastic. And no one brings the Prado and key works to life like Alfonso. He is passionate, knowledgeable, engaging and masterful at creating a narrative/storyline.
