We had an absolutely fantastic time on this tapas tour in Madrid—easily one of the highlights of our trip!<br /><br />From the moment we set off, it felt like much more than just a food tour. As we wandered through the beautiful streets of the city our guide shared fascinating snippets of local history, culture and everyday life in Madrid. These little insights really brought the city to life and made the whole experience feel authentic and immersive.<br /><br />The tapas stops themselves were outstanding. Each bar had its own unique character and we loved how we were introduced to places we never would have found on our own. The food was delicious throughout and the drinks complemented everything perfectly. It genuinely felt like we were eating and drinking the way locals do.<br /><br />One absolute standout for me was a tapa called *Regnito de Torito*, which is exclusive to El Anciano Rey de los Vinos. It was, without exaggeration, the most amazing thing I have ever tasted in my life. An unforgettable highlight of the entire tour and something I’ll be thinking about for a long time!<br /><br />A huge part of what made the experience so enjoyable was our guide Aries. He was incredibly friendly, approachable and spoke excellent English, which made everything easy to follow and engaging. He created such a relaxed and fun atmosphere that the whole group quickly got into the spirit of things. By the end, it felt less like a tour and more like an evening out with new friends.<br /><br />Everything was well-paced, with just the right balance of walking, learning, eating and socialising. We never felt rushed,and there was plenty of time to enjoy each stop.<br /><br />If you’re visiting Madrid, I couldn’t recommend this experience more highly. It’s the perfect way to discover the city’s food scene, learn a bit of its history and have a great time doing it. We’d absolutely do it again!<br /><br />**Top tip:** Come hungry and ready to explore—you won’t leave disappointed!

Truly impressed with Eleanor’s extensive knowledge, friendliness, and professionalism. We tried a variety of mouth watering Spanish food and connected with some lovely people in the group. Couldn’t recommend enough especially for first timers in Madrid!
