The good: Mariano was a wonderful, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and empathetic guide! He was easy to understand, as his English was flawless. Loved tasting Spanish specialties that I had never tasted before-especially the anchovies! The calamari sandwich was fantastic, too! The less good(I won’t say bad-because nothing was really ‘bad’): On most food tours, you make several stops for drinks, appetizers, or little tastes culminating in a nice sit down lunch and dessert. There was no lunch nor dessert. Pretty much everyone on the tour said the same basic thing: For the price paid, there should have been some kind of nice Spanish lunch included.

Mariano was our guide. He is native to Madrid, but lived in New York for 10 years and loves food. Excellent food! Excellent guide! This is my first food tour, but definitely will not be my last. Mariana is a jewel! Oh yes!
