Ultimate Spanish Cuisine: Madrid Local Market & Food Tour

Our tour guide Liliana was fantastic. All the food was beyond excellent... Olives and Jamon were each a highlight. Definitely worth getting up early to have the Chocolate and churros!

This food tour was easily one of our favorite parts of our honeymoon! Liliana was a wonderful tour guide, so kind and accommodating, and with so much knowledge! We will definitely be looking to do this again for future trips!

I am not sure how I found Devour, but am I ever glad I did! It was super easy to book online from home. They gave clear information about the tour, where to meet. When the meeting place went into a construction zone, they communicated well in advance. Our guide, Mitzi, was on time and on point! Super well informed about the Madrid customs, history of the places we visited, knowledgeable not only about the food itself, but about the production, the obstacles, cool "insider" facts. There were only 3 of us which was even better. Devour keeps their tours intimate, which makes it so much a better experience. The choices of where we went were made based on the fact that these are family owned local businesses, sometimes 3 and 4 generations down. It always feels good to support that kind of operation, and Mitzi didn't let us down. Three hours went by like that, and we were well fed, well beveraged, none of us felt we missed anything. To Mitzi's credit, this tour took place on Halloween. That could have been a disaster for crowds, but Mitzi had everything reserved and ordered ahead so we never had to wait in lines, and the food was piping hot as soon as we arrived. What a great experience, so glad I booked this!

Arantxa is an absolute delight and you need to meet her early in your visit to Madrid. She can tell you where to go to eat like a local. Less expensive and the food is better.
