Great visit, watch out for people with reduced mobility because at the start and end there are a lot of stairs to do. Otherwise I am impressed by the number of bones there.

It wasn’t on my bucket, but my bestie was eager to go and I’m glad I did. My only critique is that the meetup information be updated on the Viator site. We were looking for the tour guide (forgot her name) with a green flag and she was not easily identifiable, hence about half the group couldn’t find her and we ran a few minutes late which made her rush the tour a little bit. I thought it was well paced but the walking in dim light might’ve been too fast for some. The site itself was amazing and I enjoyed learning about it, and our guide pointing out details that would otherwise be missed.

We were really fortunate to get tickets for the last day before it closed for renovations, and I'm so glad we did. <br /><br />The self guided tour takes you through underground tunnels before arriving at the main attraction, the remains. Its so interesting finding out how they came to be down there. <br /><br />Whilst its hard to get tickets, its definitely worth it, so make sure you do

This was a great experience. We had booked a time slot and line was almost non-existent. Audio guides worked really well. It took a little over an hour to walk the tour. Would definitely recommend this!

Eleanor was a wonderful guide; informative and supplementing her narrative with photos to add color and context.
You should be prepared for a lot of stairs, uneven terrain, and some slippery areas. I was concerned as I am claustrophobic but was able to manage throughout the tour since once you’ve descended then the areas are pretty open.
Please keep in mind this is an open graveyard with millions of deceased men, women, and children. There is nothing protecting their remains from access by visitors. Take care not to disturb, be considerate, and reconsider taking “selfies”.

I wanted to experience something different and visit this place, located very easily, near the Luxembourg Gardens as if to take a reference. Very quiet and organized place, the tour is 1 km underground and in time approximately 1 hour, with self-guide in several languages (if you buy the ticket with that option). The ossuary is a part of the history of the city, perhaps not highly recommended for very sensitive or impressionable people, there is no unpleasant smell and the light is very dim. Nice to meet you.

Quise experimentar algo diferente y visite este lugar, ubicado muy accesiblemente, cerca de los Jardines de Luxemburgo como para tomar una referencia. Lugar muy tranquilo y organizado, el recorrido es de 1 km bajo tierra y en tiempo 1 hora aproximadamente, con auto guia en varios idiomas ( si se compra la entrada con esa opcion). El osario es una parte de la historia de la ciudad, tal vez no sea muy recomendable para gente muy sensible o impresionable, no hay olor desagradable y la luz es muy tenue. Me gusto conocerlo

Loved our guided tour! We got to see restricted access areas, and our tour guide Johnny was super knowledgeable about a ton of the history, not just about the catacombs but what led up to their creation and the implications behind it. He was great! We took our teens and they thought it was a really interesting experience, and couldn't believe how expansive the bones were.

I am in a wheelchair. Can I take a tour of Paris Catacombs?
Unfortunately, the Catacombs are not wheelchair accessible. Please be advised that there are 130 steps to the Catacombs. Unfortunately, there is no elevator access. Those with heart problems, claustrophobia, or other medical conditions should take this into consideration before booking this tour.
Do I need to bring an ID with me on this tour?
Yes! Please ensure that all members of your party, including children, have a valid ID on them on the day of the visit.
I'm claustrophobic. Can I still take a Catacomb tour?
While the Paris Catacombs are not the tightest catacombs we have ever visited, they are still a series of underground tunnels running deep below the streets of Paris. As such, we do not recommend visiting them if you suffer from Claustrophobia.
What should I wear on my Paris Catacombs tour?
Regardless of what the weather is above ground, the tunnels of the Paris Catacombs are a consistent wet and cool 14°C/57°F all year long. Because of this, we recommend that you wear appropriate clothes, carrying a cardigan in summer and wearing layers that you can remove in winter. We also recommend comfortable walking shoes as the ground is uneven in places.
Are the restrictions on what I can bring on my Paris Catacombs tour?
Yes - only very small backpacks and handbags may be taken inside Paris Catacombs. More specifically, any bag must be smaller than 55 cm x 35 cm x 20 cm. There is no luggage storage at or near the Paris Catacombs and Walks cannot responsible for entry denied due to large luggage.
