Alex was a phenomenal tour guide. The best way to learn about a culture and a city is through its food. You learn a lot about how the culture interacts, the neighborhood and what to look for. <br /><br />We have always have a great time on devour tours but Alex was especially great. Funny. Each stop unfolded naturally, from a relaxed aperitivo with prosecco and antipasti to golden, perfectly balanced supplì, vibrant spritzes in a legendary local bar, generous wine tastings paired with bruschetta, and a deeply satisfying Roman pasta dinner in a historic trattoria. The grand finale, artisanal gelato enjoyed under the evening sky, was the perfect closing note.

I spent these three hours enjoying the tastes and stories of Rome. <br />Out guide Mattia has lead us through the streets of Trastevere showing us how to live the aperitivo culture. <br />Without him we would have just drink and eat around without understanding anything about the background of this Italian tradition! And the food!!! So tasty!! <br /><br />I discovered lots of new Romans and Italians wines I wasn't aware of. Moreover Mattia shared with us lots of good tips on how to spot great places for eating, plus lots of recommendations to eat like a local! I feel so grateful with myself to have done this tour!!!

Excellent! Good history of the area and Rome in general from a food/wine perspective without being overly boorish. Good selection of wine, food, and dessert. Did not feel rushed and conversation was excellent. Would do this tour with Matthia, and his trainees any time!

Nice tour in a great area. Chiara was the perfect guide informing us about the local food and wine. It could have been a bit longer stay in the restaurants but all and all. Good food, good wine and great company.

Chiara was an excellent guide! Very personable and engaging and told us so much about the area, the food and wine. Devour tours are the best we have done one before and loved it, so when I saw there was one in Rome I booked it! The food and wine and drinks were awesome!
