The area we toured, Trastevere (Rome) is a treasure trove of wonderful family-owned eateries. Our guide, Jean-Paul, led a wonderful tour to some of his favorites. These restaurants were frequented primarily by the local population, and not overrun by tourists. Our guide was masterful at weaving the restaurant, the food it served, and its history into the narrative of the neighbourhood, and his life as well. Highly recommended.

we had a great time on our food walk! Learned a lot about Roman food and wine. We stopped by lovely places that served high quality food and learned how to spot wuality! We were the only couple on the tour so were given plenty of time to ask questions about the food and the area! Loved this tour and so happy to have taken it!

The guide Alex (Alessandro) made the food tour a unique cultural experience on a beautiful spring day in Rome. Our food tour took us through Trastevere, a fascinating neighborhood with a truly unique character. We visited charming, authentic restaurants and ate delicious food. We loved learning the history of the place and the food. But the best part of the tour was the warm and convivial atmosphere that our tour guide, JP, created for us and the other travelers. We didn’t just “visit” Rome. We got to really feel a part of things.
