Potomac River Cruise and Georgetown Walking Tour

Relaxing water taxi ride along the river was a good way to start the Georgetown trip. Saw a number of memorials from a river aspect. Our tour guide, Jjena was excellent, adding to the commentary provided on the boat and then giving us some great historical and cultural information on the walking trip around Georgetown

It was a lot of info. Loved the boat trip and the cupcake visit.

Allegra, our guide, was great! She was very interesting and provided lots of exciting information! The boat only had a few seats outside, which was not what we had expected.

This was a fun tour and Jjena was a great guide. Very knowledgeable, funny and really tried to keep us in the shade on a very hot walk through Georgetown. The boat ride from the Wharf was a great start - nice views of monuments, with narrative. We then walked through Georgetown for about 2 hours, learning about Colonial history, Civil War history and more modern Kennedy-era history. My one suggestion is that when it's very hot in the summer, may be cutting the walking part by about 30 minutes. Four of the folks in our group peeled off with about 30 minutes left because they were just wilting.

The guide was great , she made the experience . The cup cakes a bonus !
