Charlie was such a great tour guide! He had knowledge of not only New York City but his experience is in Los Angeles and San Francisco my hometown! Charlie not only had tons of knowledge about Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty but also about the history of New York City itself! Charlie made the tour fun and also threw in a list of his own personal best places to eat and I did go to liberty bagel and it was absolutely amazing! You have to book with Charlie ASAP!

Mindy C was an amazing tour guide for our Statue of Liberty visit. Her storytelling was fantastic, her knowledge was outstanding, and she made the history come alive in a way that kept everyone engaged. You could tell she truly loves what she does, and it made our experience even more memorable. Highly recommend Mindy.

It was a Great Experience. Our guide, Sara was amazing and took very good care of us. She knew a lot about the statue and was intertaining and inspirering. There were a lot of people on the boat though, and that was a little exhausting but that was not Saras fault an she did what she could to make the waiting as pleasant as possible. Mindy was great. She knew a lot of the history and fun facts. She made sure everyone stayed with the group and took pictures for us. The only downside, which was not Mindy's fault, is that it was a nightmare trying to find the meeting spot. Apparently there are a lot of scam artists hanging around 1 Bowling Green. We were told to go 4 different places before we finally found our guide. The tour company should start telling folks to meet in front of Starbucks. Maybe offer a Starbucks coupon too. That's the only thing that could have been better.

Are the hospitals on Ellis Island included on this tour?

No, The old hospitals are not open to the public and have to be booked specially if you want to visit them.

I have mobility issues/use a wheelchair, can I take the Statue of Liberty tour?

Yes! However please note that if your tour includes the Statue Pedestal (which has elevator access) the only part you will NOT be able to visit is a small platform at the very top of the Statue Pedestal.

Do you ever cancel your tours of the Statue of Liberty due to weather conditions?

Our Statue of Liberty tours run rain or shine. One exception is if the Coastguard ceases water traffic (which includes the ferry to the Statue of Liberty) due to inclement weather.

What can I expect at the security checkpoint for my Statue of Liberty tour?

All guests must pass through airport-style security to go to the Statue of Liberty. Certain items are not permitted including any weapons, scissors, pocket knives, any sharp item, or tools. Large items such as suitcases and backpacks are not allowed. Food and drink are not permitted except water in a clear container. Does this tour include access to the Statue Crown?

No. Unfortunately, tickets for the Statue of Liberty Crown are extremely limited, at only 365 per day, and sell out months in advance. Walks does not provide any tours that include the Statue of Liberty Crown.
