A bit too long winded on a cold, windy, rainy day!! The guide was excellent with her information but kept us standing in the horrible weather conditions for far too long! Pure misery! Knowledgeable & excited about the history for sure but maybe think about the comfort of the visitors & change it up for bad weather conditions.

Awesome tour! Highly recommend if you want the chance to see Ellis and Liberty Island in same day as a combo tour. If you’re interested in going inside Statute of Liberty (which I wasn’t) this probably isn’t the tour, but if you are interested in a more totality experience of both islands this is the tour to take!

This was an amazing day. Even though it rained a little, Charlie made it a wonderful experience. Charlie’s knowledge and background as a history teacher made the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island come to life. We highly recommend this and Charlie!<br />Thanks.

Are the hospitals on Ellis Island included on this tour?

No, The old hospitals are not open to the public and have to be booked specially if you want to visit them.

I have mobility issues/use a wheelchair, can I take the Statue of Liberty tour?

Yes! However please note that if your tour includes the Statue Pedestal (which has elevator access) the only part you will NOT be able to visit is a small platform at the very top of the Statue Pedestal.

Do you ever cancel your tours of the Statue of Liberty due to weather conditions?

Our Statue of Liberty tours run rain or shine. One exception is if the Coastguard ceases water traffic (which includes the ferry to the Statue of Liberty) due to inclement weather.

What can I expect at the security checkpoint for my Statue of Liberty tour?

All guests must pass through airport-style security to go to the Statue of Liberty. Certain items are not permitted including any weapons, scissors, pocket knives, any sharp item, or tools. Large items such as suitcases and backpacks are not allowed. Food and drink are not permitted except water in a clear container. Does this tour include access to the Statue Crown?

No. Unfortunately, tickets for the Statue of Liberty Crown are extremely limited, at only 365 per day, and sell out months in advance. Walks does not provide any tours that include the Statue of Liberty Crown.
